Today we began learning the basic skills of sketch up to help us with building the 3D model of our PR event. I’m always nervous when learning something new in the adobe sessions as I’ve never been great with editing or graphic design and feel like I’m a slow learner but in the end, I caught on well. We began by making 3D models of a variety of things such as a doughnut, a house and a pyramid and I was struggling! However, Sing gave me some guidance and I eventually got it. We were then given time to create our own models and I found it hard to visualise and create a whole event I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like and what I wanted the event to include but I struggled visually creating it. I started by creating the venue for the main event where there will be music, a bar and a photo booth, however, because I was still learning how to use all the different elements and there was not a lot of time, I had to finish it off at home. I don’t think my SketchUp’s turned out the best but I’m not an architecture or graphic design student so I’m happy with the outcome.
